Level 3 Judging List
These are persons whom The Association will support to give Challenge Certificates (CCs) in the breed, but who have not yet been approved by the Kennel Club.
As Breed Specialists judges must have:
– a minimum 7 years judging experience in the breed and have the support of The Glen of Imaal Terrier Association.
– judged 18 classes of Glens with at least 1 breed show or championship show without C.C’s.
– hands on 30 dogs.
– to have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures.
– to have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement.
– to have attended at least one breed-specific seminar run by The Glen of Imaal Terrier Association in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an assessment and/or examination.
– to have attended and passed a Hands on Seminar on the Points of a Dog given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer.
– to have bred and/or owned a minimum of three dogs when they obtained their first entry in The KC Stud Book. (Save in exceptional circumstances).
– to have stewarded at 12 shows.
As a Non-Breed Specialist approved to award CCs in one other breed:
– 7 years experience of judging other breeds including 7 years in their own breed, and have the support of The Glen of Imaal Terrier Association
– judged 25 classes of Glens with at least 1 breed show or championship show without CCs. Hands on 50 dogs.
– to have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures.
– to have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement.
– to have attended at least one breed specific seminar run by The Glen of Imaal Terrier Association in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an assessment and/or examination.
– to have attended and passed a Hands on Seminar on the Points of a Dog given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer

Please note that all names with an * have already attended a breed specific seminar organised by The Glen of Imaal Terrier Association and have the full support of the Association.
